Craziness!

Since I've jumped on the Twilight train I couldn't put it down! Wednesday night I finished the book at 2 am.....just as I turned off my lamp I heard a tiny little "mew" from the corner of my room. I turned the light back on, jumped up and followed the sound to my husband's t-shirt drawer. There was our cat, Simone, with 2 tiny kittens. She had kitten's on Marcus's t shirts! Ewww! I ran downstairs and woke up Jessica, my babysitter (she' was spending the night to watch the boys so I went to get Caleb at 5am) We moved her to a box with towels and she had 2 more! We all (I ended up taking the boys and the sitter) left at 5:30 to drive the 2 hours to Boston to get Caleb. I missed that boy so much! It was the BEST feeling to see him and know he's home, healthy and safe. Yay!! He's come! I have some GREAT pics of his trip I'll post later.

Welcome Home Caleb!!

Oh, and when we got home from Boston, 4 kittens turned into 6. Yes. 6 Kittens. In my house. Help.

Thriller

This is a video of inmates in a prison in the Phillipines doing the thriller dance... Oh and Marcus says he'd rather do solitary confinement for the rest of his life than do this dance...

Thai Red Chicken Coconut Curry

I was blog stalking the other day and I came across a totally cute girl with an AMAZING blog. She has some great ideas and recipes. I LOVE Thai food, so I decided to try her recipe for Thai Red Chicken Coconut Curry. YUM! I added carrots, onions, and pineapple to mine. I'm so happy I found a Coconut Curry recipe I like! Yay! Check out her site for other recipes and projects , oh and she makes fabulous jewelry! here.

uh....

I had to post another post because it looked like I was reppin' Cambodian Pride with that flag at the top of my page. There, much better.

Caleb Update!

Yay!! I finally talked to my little boy! Beccie (Deija's mom) called Deija on Saturday night and was sweet enough to call me 3-way so I could talk to the kiddos! This is how the conversation with Caleb went...
Me (squealing with excitement and on the verge of tears): Hey sweetie!!! We miss you so much! Are you homesick???
Caleb (with little excietment): Uhhh, not really.
Me (hiding my disappointment): You don't miss us?
Caleb (typical pre-teen): No, well yea, a little.
Me (wanting to ask a million questions but decide on one): So what are you doing now?
Caleb (typical Caleb): Shooting rubber bands at lizards.

So, I could only talk for a few seconds because Beccie was using one of those super expensive international calling cards and I didn't want to use all the minutes. But that was enough. She called me after and filled me in with some of the details of their trip so far:
- They got to ride on elephants.
- They eat frog stuffing with lemongrass (ewww.)
- Amara held a funeral for her mother (she died in the U.S. 15 years ago) 4,000 people attended the ceremony.
- Caleb is learning French
- Deija was sitting next to a cow (?)
That's all I have for now. I'm sure I'll get more when he comes back. They'll be spending the rest of the trip in Thailand. I miss my boy so much! And I know he's totally missing me....right?

65%How Addicted to Blogging Are You?

Wow! I'm not nearly as addicted as I thought! *Phew*! How addicted are you??? Click on the box above to find out.

Love it!

Look at these onesies I found on Etsy by Rainbow Swirlz Kids. I wish they had 3T, 4T, and Boys 12. Cute, huh?

Feverhead

Although I hate seeing my babies sick they are pretty darn cute when they are. In Tanner's case, it's the only thing that will SLOW HIM DOWN! He was so cute the other day when he got a 24 hour bug. He said "Mom, I have a fever head." in a sad little voice. He's just so cute!

Caleb Update

I haven't heard Caleb's voice since last Wednesday. I did get that weird message from the Cambodian lady last Friday morning. So I've been so worried! I just want to know if he's okay! Well, we got an email from Caleb last night....I copied and pasted it for you:
"hey guys. ummmm i miss you. ummm peace"
Yea, that's it. What?! He couldn't tell me he's safe? Having fun? Busy? Bored? For all I know he was tied up and a Khmer Rouge soilder gave him one last email...Okay, I'm totally overreacting. But I reallllllly miss him and I'm dying to know how he's doing and more importantly what he's doing. I wonder if he checks my blogspot (if so, CALEB CALL ME!)..... Anyways, I'm sure he's doing great. He's probablly super busy and having a blast. So, I'll keep you posted if I hear from him. ummm peace.

Marcus' new toy...

Ever since Apple announced they'd be releasing a phone Marcus was all over it. I swear, if Apple made a toilet...Marcus would buy it. He's been researching this phone for the past six months. It's crazy. It's an ipod, computer, internet device, GPS, phone. It does just about everything except wipe your butt, although I think they may be working on that.
So Marcus assured me he'd wait a year for Apple to work out the "glitches" and maybe get one in January. Well, he just couldn't wait. He was worse than one of the little boys begging for a John Deere toy or Caleb begging for Guitar Hero II. He asked me EVERY day if he could get one (like he needed my permission? It's not me who's paying for it...) Whatever. I just have the free phone that you get when you sign a 2 yr. contact! But he deserves it. And he's having a ton of fun with it. And I must admit it's pretty darn cool.

Maine Summah!

Saturday was the annual Windham Ward Lobter Bake. Marcus LOVES lobster! He ate 3. The boys and I aren't huge fans. It was a very hot day. After we headed up to Sebago Lake to hang out with the Ramos famiy. The water was like bath water! So warm.

Caleb update.

When I woke up this morning there was a message on my voicemail. It went a little like this....
"Sahdah, dis is Sundaree, Amara's friend. I call to tell you that the boy is ok. He fine. He arrive to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Okie? Amara call you when she get phone. Everyting is okie."
So.....I'm guessing that the "boy" would be my son. And he's okay. *phew* I still can't wait to hear his sweet voice. I miss him so much!!
So, maybe Sundaree looked like this...?

just kidding.

He's Off!

Caleb left early this morning for his trip to Cambodia! He'll be flying from Boston, to L.A., then to Singapore then finally to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. His grandmother is taking him and his sister Deija. They won't be back until Aug. 23rd!! I miss him already!! She took him to Aruba 2 years ago, but that was only for a week. I cried when Marcus gave him a blessing last night. I'm having huge panic attacks about all the "what ifs" but I know he's in great hands and it will be an amazing experience to visit the land of his ancestors and see how other children live. I can't wait for them to get back so I can share pictures of their experience!
Caleb and Deija with their Passports and Visas

Oh my gosh!! I miss him so much and it's only been 10 hours!!

Poor Beccie! Deija's never been on a plane or away from her mommy!
