Tanner's Birthday

Tanner turned four yesterday but we've been celebrating the whole weekend! The picture above is from when he was 1 year old. What a cutie.
Yesterday we had Cindy & Stuart, Jon, my parents, and a few friends over for dinner to celebrate.  Tanner chose dinner- chicken broccoli casserole-his favorite!

I attempted to make a John Deere cake.

My brother Jon got Tanner this Boingo Zoingo, and Cin and Stu got him water guns -these kept the big kids entertained all day.
Yesterday the girls were in Florida so they came today with Kristin and Dan to celebrate again!
Kristin made a cake. Dan calls it the "Grand Canyon" cake.
Dan brought the 4-wheeler.  Tanner and Jordan were so excited!!
They got Tanner a J.D. comforter!  So cool!
Yummy Cake!

They even made Tanner his own little cake!  So sweet.  Phew!  It's been a busy weekend.

Yikes.

I highlighted my own hair. You probablly think it's easy since I'm a hairstylist and have the salon at home....but it's not! It might be if I could take off my head and apply foils, but science hasn't allowed me to do that yet. Also, I'm blind in my left eye, so you should of seen me trying to peak out. I was sweating, my arms hurt, and I kept telling myself, "What did you get yourself into!" I even put myself under the dryer for a few minutes while I shed a few nervous tears....thus enabling me to get this photo:
Lovely, huh?
It really didn't turn out that terrible, but next time I will definitely be patient and have Melissa do it! Yikes!

Sushi Anyone?

I tried to fake out Caleb with these little sushi cakes from a recipe in this month's Family Fun magazine.  He didn't fall for it.  He asked, "Why is the seaweed so green?" and Jordan said, "Oh!  It's the tongue tattoo kind!"  He figured out it was fruit roll ups!  The store didn't have the organic fruit leather (which is a deeper green) so I thought Fruit Roll Ups would do.  The good news is.....I fooled Jay, our Korean Exchange Student who popped the whole thing in his mouth!

Baby Gift

These make the cutest and easiest personalized baby gift.  Paint an unfinished 12X12 frame, decoupage your favorite patterned paper, and add embellishments!  I added a picture of little Kiara in the middle.

Tool Man Tanner

Thanks Uncle Noi and Auntie Stacey for my new Tool set!  I can't wait to be FOUR on Saturday!
Love, Tanner

Dirty

Caleb lives for skateboarding. Lives.  The Skate Park is finally open and he was there before they opened the gates.  He's basically been there every day from open to close.  When he gets home he's filthy.  Disgusting.  Sweaty.  Dirty.  But he has a ton of fun.

Woo-Hoo, Guess Who's TWO?!

My adorable little niece, Ava, turned two today! Two years ago I was present when she made her grand (and traumatic) entrance into this world...not too long after I tripped on Karinne's epidural cord and broke the dang thing...So Karinne felt it all. Oops. She wasn't breathing when she was born (it had nothing to do with the epidural) and had to be life-flighted to another hospital. She gave us huge scare, but she's a healthy BEAUTIFUL sweet toddler now! I can't wait to see her in 13 days!

Purse Tag.

I've been "Purse Tagged" by Becky. This mean you must show all of the contents of your purse! Yikes! First of all, my purse is like a suitcase. I LOVE it! Marcus bought me (as in by himself, alone!) this purse for our 5th year anniversary a few years ago. It's old and worn now, but I can't seem to replace it!
Oh and Marcus took the camera to Utah, so I took these pictures with the MacBook.

Ok, get ready....here are a list of contents. I didn't leave anything out!
- 2 tubes od Mentha Lip Shine (one tinted, one not)
- 1 navy blue sock (Size 2/3 Toddler)
- 1 package of Sponge Bob fruit snacks
- 3 pens
- 1 tootsie roll
- 1 ugly hair clip I never use
- 1 tube of Big Lash mascara. I never reapply mascara during the day. I have no idea why that's in there.
- 1 John Deere Gator toy
- 1 brown sock (Size 2/3 Toddler)
- 1 helicopter
- 2 thingys of mints (Tic Tac, and Altoids-which are empty)
- 2 lip glosses (MAC Viva Glam VI, and Benefit Duo)
- 1 Wooden screen tool?? It looks like a mini pizza cutter, and I have no idea who put it here?
- 1 Centennial Quality Unit 2007 Patch from Scouts...uhhh.
- A bazillion receipts, wrappers, trash, sand granules...
- Drugs, legal ones.
- Wallet.

I'm tagging Karinne because she needs a new post!

{ baby kiara }

My best friend (since I was 2!), Shakira, just gave birth to the sweetest little girl! Marcus, Jordan and I went to meet little Kiara in the hospital. It was so fun to hold a tiny little baby! Jordan couldn't stop staring at her! I am so excited for Shakira and Tommy! They are going to be awesome parents!

Spring Cleaning

Yay!  Spring is officially here!  It was 65 degrees here today and all the snow is almost gone!  The boys and I got a lot done!  Our storage facility (dad's attic) is going out of business (he's building an apartment for Jerry) so I went and picked up 11 totes full of crap, baby clothes, toys, crap, books, crap, maternity clothes, crap etc.  It was a lot of work but it was so fun going through all the baby clothes, even some from when Caleb was a baby!  The boys kept taking out socks, hats, etc. and saying "awwwwww, this is so cute!"  They did this like forty times.  It was so funny. I now have 5 huge trash bags to take to goodwill and all the boys clothes/toys are organized! Oh, and I did save some of the baby clothes, just in case, you know, someday.

Twilight Movie

Here's a little behind the scenes footage of the upcoming Twilight movie. I cannot WAIT to see this. I'm pretty sure it won't be as good as the book, but I'm still looking forward to seeing it in December.
Make sure you check out this website: The Twilight Movie
If you are interested in reading the first chapter in Stephanie Meyer's unreleased book called Midnight Sun (it's basically "Twilight" from Edward's point of view) click HERE!
Ummm, can you tell I'm a little obsessed??

Try this....

1. Sit on a chair with both feet on the floor. Pick up your right foot and with the bottom of your foot facing the floor make circles going clockwise.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction.

Ha! I told you! Weird, huh??
Oh, and sorry about the feet in the rose petal picture....I hate posts without pictures.

Whoa.

This is a big deal. Are you ready? My completely not-computer-savvy sister started a blog! She did it all by her self! She just called me from a chairlift (weird.) to tell me! So if you'd like to check it out click Here! Oh, and while I'm here I'll show you a picture of Tanner's latest artwork. The guest room door. I'm so glad I have these:

A day in the life of...

...Tanner. Geesh! I can't keep up with this kid. Seriously, everytime I turn around he's done something else. Just look at that little smirk!

WHS Talent Show

Our Exchange Student, Jay, performed at the High School Talent Show last night....and he got 3rd place! Jordan was playing basketball with Marcus, but Tanner, Caleb, Nara, her friend and I cheered him on.
