Turkey Day!

We hope you had a great Thanksgiving! We had a fabulous dinner at my parents. My dad made 18 pies this year! My dad's pies are seriously the best! Apple, Chocolate Cream, Coconut Cream, Strawberry Rhubard, Banana Cream, Pecan, Lemon Meringue, Cherry Chocolate Cheese Cake, to name a few. We had lots friends and family join us this year. It was a lot of food and a lot of FUN! After dinner Kristin and Dan and the girls took my 3 boys to spend the night at their house! It was Tanner's first sleepover! I was almost sure I'd have to go pick him up before bedtime, but they did great. Dan made a tent in the living room and they all slept under the tent next to the fire after a few hours of Guitar Hero III. This morning Dan took them all out four wheeling and Caleb drove his into a ditch. I'm kind of jealous I missed all the fun, but Marcus and I got up really early and went "black friday" shopping...with no kids! A huge thanks to Kristin, Dan, Alicia, and Sam!!

F.H.E.

I love our Primary Presidency. Every month they send home these packets with F.H.E. lessons and ideas! This makes life so much easier. For Family Home Evening last Monday we made the "Simagna Thankful Tree". We hung it on the fridge to remind us of the things we are thankful for. Here are some of our leaves:
"Grampa's John Deere" - Tanner
"Got an "A' in History" - Nara
"Food" - Jordan
"My wife" - Marcus (awwwww! Love him!)
"My boys! oh, and Nara!" -Me
"Heavenly Father" - Tanner (Can you believe he said that? How sweet!)
"Drive a cool truck" - Jordan (I have no idea what this means)
"Skateboarding" - Caleb (are you really surprised?)

The Suite Life...

This past weekend was Marcus and my 6th year wedding anniversary! We celebrated by going with the family to Foxwoods in Conneticut. Amara, my favorite high-roller, got us an amazing suite on the top floor which had our own bedroom with a jacuzzi! Of course the kids used it instead of us. We all had so much fun relaxing, swimming, eating in the VIP lounges, and shopping! This was one of the highlights of the weekend...a foot massage from Tanner!Happy Anniversary, Sweetie!! I HUB you!

L.L. Bean

Marcus and I brought Tanner to L.L. Bean's to get the boy's winter jackets.. They have a new cool fish tank you can climb under and pop up to see the trout! Marcus works there part-time seasonal. We love the discounts!

Caleb's School Picture

Isn't he the most handsome 6th grader?

Woah.

Upon entering the chapel today for Sacrament Meeting, I was handed this...
Yes, it's my brother and his "friend" Sonja on the front cover. No, they are NOT getting married (I've been answering that all day). They are just friends. Hmmm...

I scream, you scream!

I really don't like cookie dough ice cream. But I love cookie dough and ice cream, just not together. Got that? This quiz describes me to a "T"! Click on the box and take the quiz yourself!

Slow down, Mom.

My mom had surgery on Halloween. She's doing great, but she'll be in the hospital until saturday. Yesterday my dad called me when she got out of the operating room. "Has she asked for her makeup yet?" I asked him. "Yea, she already put it on." he answered. She didn't even wait until she got to her room. She applied her makeup in the recovery room. I bet it looked great. I went to visit her with the boys today. I called her room first. "Hello, this is Kathy!" she answered. Uhhh, did I call her office or hospital room? Anyway, she's doing great. I'm pretty sure her doctor is keeping her in there to keep her still. Otherwise she'd be shopping, cleaning, painting, working, etc...

Over!

So Halloween is officially over! It's such a crazy time of year for us! Friday night we threw a big party for Caleb and friends, this year we had over 35 kids! We had hayrides, games, scary stories around the huge bonfire and of course, fire works! This past week was my week for preschool, so we had a party on Wednesday. By trick or treat time, I was completely beat. I took the little boys to two houses....yes, two. Mimi's and Cindy's. Between those two houses they got a ton of candy and...whoopie pies! Caleb hit the neighborhoods with friends. For as long as I can remember my dad has made candied apples on Halloween night. Yum!
