Fall is here!

I love this time of year! Apple picking, hayrides, pumpkins, and of course leaf jumping! I love decorating for fall! I put cornstalks up outside yesterday and brought out all my fall decor! It's my favorite time for decorating because it matches the color scheme in my house and I love burning candles like pumpkin pie and apple spice. Every year my dad has a ton of gourds from his garden (even ones shaped like snakes). I even turned the thermostat on last night. Yay! Fall is here! Here are a few other reasons I love fall...I lalalove this candle from Bath and Body Works. It's my favorite scent!!Apple crisp! It's soooo yummy! Especially with vanilla ice cream.Halloween! I think Marcus might try carving this pumpkin this year...Fall Colors! I think Maine has the most beautiful fall leaves in the world!

Way to go, Sam!

I know what you're thinking....Holy COW! (Actually, it's a male, so it would be Holy BULL!) See that sweet little girl on the right? She SHOT that moose. Sam got her moose permit this year and went up north with her dad, Dan (Kristin's fiance). You might think it's cruel (everyone has a right to their opinion), but I think it's pretty cool. Way to go, Sam!

This is Caleb's favorite place. He loves to skate. His ultimate dream is to be sponsored one day. He's even made a DVD and a

Maine Wildlife Park

Jordan's preschool group went on a fieldtrip to the Maine Wildlife Park last week. It was fun to see all the animals that live in Maine and to hang out with friends!

Don't chase the geese! (click pic to enlarge and see why!)

Sareya Marie

Congratulations to Marseiro (Caleb's dad) and Vanessa! This sweet little angel was born on Sept.19th she only weighed 5 lbs. 9 oz.! I kind of think she looks like her big brother, Caleb! -----> Gosh, Marseiro, you really make cute kids!

Trouble...

I was doing a pedicure on a client and Jordan came into the salon to tell me that Tanner was "in trouble". I went into the kitchen to find Tanner doing this...

I must say, he did a pretty good job. Maybe we can go into business together.

Big Red

Happy 33rd to my beautiful sister, Kristin. Here she is with her new puppy, Hunter (yes, she named the dog after our nephew!) I'm so glad she's my sister. She always has the best clothes and make-up and has incredible style and class.
Kristin, is going through a hard time right now (her mother-in-law passed away last night) and I want her to know that I love her and our thoughts and prayers are with her, Dan and the girls.

Rockingham

Saturday we took a little road trip to Salem, NH to the Mall at Rockingham Park. It's the nearest mall with an Apple Store so Marcus wanted to go so he could receive a credit for his iphone (that he paid full price for and then 2 months later they slashed the price in half!) Also, it happened to be only 15 minutes from Nara's last host family, so she met up with some of her old friends. And the most exciting reason, it has a few of my favorite stores (Charlette Russe, Forever 21, H&M)!!

Spare me my life!

The boys and I really enjoyed this video... I thought you might enjoy it too.

Success!

Enrichment Night was so fun last night! I was really bummed because a lot of people told me they wouldn't be able to make it (that darn Gorham Middle School Open House!). However, the turn out was awesome! If you weren't there last night, here's what you missed:Dodie gave an amazing class on Dehydration! She seriously went all out. Fruit leather, granola, smoothies, soups, herbs, yogurt, dips, cookies, beef jerky, chicken jerky, all from dehydrating! My favorite were the dried zucchini chips with the dill herb dip...yum!! Everyone got to take home a cute "how to" book, their own instant oatmeal (we were able to add any fruits we liked) and anyone who promised to try dehydrating got to take home a scented room spray!
Marcie did a class on 72 hour kits....she's so funny! She did a great job. We played a game and the winner (Heather) got to take home their very own 72 hour kit! Lucky!
Our wheatgrass class by Barbara was very cool! I learned a ton....like why when I tried to grow my own my whole kitchen smelled like dirty feet (over-watering), and why I had fruit flies everywhere (my wheat was fermented) and how to do it right the next time! Thanks Barbara!

School Days

Things have been so busy lately!! Caleb is now officially a middle schooler. He's in 6th grade. I went to the same school but they called it "Junior High" back then. He has a locker now and starts school an hour earlier!
Here he is on the first day of school.

Jordan has started preschool 2 days a week! He loves it!
Here is my big preschooler!!

A few moms from church and I are taking turns teaching. I was the assistant on the first day so I was able to go and take lots of pictures!

My newest addiction...

I can't believe how much I lovelove Stephenie Meyer's books!! I honestly thought I'd be disappointed because of all the hype surrounding them. Not one little bit. They are sooo good! They are even making a Twilight movie. Eeek! I'm so excited (I've already downloaded every song on her "soundtrack"!) I was hesitant to start the last book, Eclipse, because I was sad to have to bring the amazing trilogy to an end...but, I just found out there are 2 more upcoming books by her. Yay!

Random

The kids were making pizza and I thought this burnt pizza blob was really cool! I know I'm weird, but c'mon! It looks exactly like a profile or bust or something...

Home Sweet Home!

I'm so excited for Kristin, Dan and the girls Alicia and Sam! They bought a house in Scarborough, Maine. The boys and I made a black forest cake and brought it to them on their first night there. We ate pizza and hung out....on the floor (there was no furniture yet). It's so nice! I'm so excited for spring because they are putting in a pool.....I guess we know where I'll be all summer!

Kristin at the new house!

Making the cake

Licking the bowl...

This Black Forest Cake is so GOOD! And it's easy. (Let me know if you want the recipe!)

Pho sho!

We took Nara to our favorite vietnamese restaurant, Thanh Thanh 2, to eat Pho (pronouced "fah"). Yummy!
