Every year my sister in law, Laura, who is from Lithuania, dyes these eggs with onion and other Lithuanian secret ingredients. Then we have our Lithuanian Egg War. Basically you pick your egg... 
Smash it against another person's egg and see who's doesn't crack.
You keep playing against the winners until there is one winner.
Then the winner keeps their egg in the fridge for a year and eats it next Easter (but we don't play that way. ew) Uncle Jerry won this year. He was really excited.
